Read this before you pay
Your token appears once, right after payment.
Copy it and store it somewhere safe, such as your PATANYX vault or a
password manager. EdgeXene will not recover or resend it. Anyone holding
the token holds the license.
Payment is not anonymous, and we will not pretend
otherwise.
Checkout runs on Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe collects your
card details, email address and billing details to run the payment,
under its own terms. EdgeXene never sees your card number and collects no email address of its own. We keep a random license id, the dates of your term, a reference to the payment, the amount paid, and the token itself; and, for each device you activate, a random
identifier with the days it activated and released, deleted thirty
days after your term ends.
Premium activates on up to 5 devices. The first time
your vault opens after you paste the token, PATANYX makes one request
to EdgeXene to activate that device, so the first activation needs an
internet connection. A request that cannot connect is repeated once
straight away, unless it went through your own tunnel, in which case
there is no immediate repeat. If it still does not get through, or the
server refuses it, PATANYX tries once more at each unlock until it
succeeds. Once a device is activated it works offline. What is sent is
your token and a random number your browser makes up for that install,
nothing about your hardware. You can release a device from its Vault
panel to free the slot for another. Releasing does not reach into a
machine you no longer have; if one is lost, contact us and we will
reset your device list.
A license comes with ten activations. Setting up a
device uses one. Only an activation that succeeds spends it, so a
request that fails or is refused, and the retries described just
above, cost you nothing. Ten is enough to fill all five slots and then
replace every one of them once. Releasing a device frees its slot but
does not give the activation back, so setting that same machine up
again later uses another one. An install that no longer has your old
profile does too: with no random number left to find, PATANYX makes a
new one and counts it as a new device. If you do run out, contact us
and we will clear it. The count also starts fresh with every term you
buy. Running out of activations is not permanent, and there is no
account to lose.
Premium lasts as long as your term. It is one
payment: nothing renews, and no card is kept on file. When the term
ends, Premium features stop until you buy another. Buying again is the
same simple step: pay, get a new token, paste it in. Buying before the
term ends does not add time to it.

Already using PATANYX? Your vault and all your data
stay exactly where they are. Before pasting your token, make an
encrypted vault backup from the vault panel's Backup tab. Your data
normally carries straight over, and the backup is there in case
anything goes wrong.
